    YOGA CENTER VISIT
    INCLUDED FREE A $40 Value!
Yoga is based on the eight-limbed (astanga) path of yoga outlined over 2500 years ago by the Indian sage Patanjali in the Yoga Sutras. Yoga emphasizes correct alignment and right actions which develop flexibility, strength, stamina, and balance. The classical asanas (poses) are initially taught from the structural body level, creating correct alignment of the bones and joints in the poses. Then, with accurate muscular actions and a release of unnecessary tension, awareness is brought to the tone, positioning and quality of the organs, or the "organic body." Poses are eventually held longer than in many other yoga styles. Because of its detailed attention to the structural and organic actions of the body, Iyengar Yoga is known for its therapeutic value in helping with muscular skeletal injuries and illnesses. As a student continues the practice of yoga, his/her awareness is taken deeper, creating an evenness and stability at the core of one's being, or soul. The student may then utilize yoga to connect more deeply with his or her own spiritual path, with a strengthened will powerCertified Iyengar Yoga instructors are held to an unusually rigorous standard. Only after years of training and evaluation do they become certified. Iyengar Yoga teachers modify the classic asanas (yoga postures) for individual students with the use of props -- such as blocks, blankets and belts. Props allow for a deeper penetration into the posture, as well as a longer stay.

    DELHI SOUND & LIGHT SHOW
This historic Purana Qila or Old Fort, which has stood witness to Delhi’s rejuvenation, periods of anarchy, and the rise and fall of empires, is the venue for the spectacular sound and light show which brings alive the history of the capital. Amidst the tranquility of the splendidly panoramic environs of Purana Qila select episodes from the annals of Delhi’s historic and legendary past are brought to life. The viewer is transported centuries back in time to witness Draupadi being reduced to a dasi (maid) of Hastinapur, the gallant Prithviraj Chauhan galloping away with the beauteous Samyogita, Sher Shah Suri being blown to bits by misfired cannon, the clash of a sword wielded by the legendary Razia Sultan, Humanyun tragically tumbling down the steps of his library, Bahadur Shah Zafar surrendering to the British. This is the story of the city of cities.... DELHI; of the site where a great empire rose and fell before the dawn of history; where citadels of emperors appeared and disappeared; a city of mysterious eternity whose old ruins proclaim a majestic and imperial past and whose present pulsates vibrantly with the ever flowing life force of India. The eternal Jamuna bears witness to the glorious and tumultuous 5,000-year-old history of Delhi. A history that begins with the creation of Indraprastha by the Pandavas and the transformation of this barren gift of the Kauravas into an idyllic haven. A history which encompasses all the various kings and emperors who fixed their royal citadels here - Indraprastha, Lal Kot,Qila Rai Pithora, Siri, Jahanpanah, Tughlakabad, Ferozabad, Dinapanah, Delhi Sher Shahi or then Shahjahanabad. But, combined and integrated into one, these `new cities’ have always been called Delhi and howsoever many names it may have acquired, Delhi has always been intrinsically identified with power and imperial sway. These and many more such episodes out of Delhi’s 5000-year-old saga can be relived during this evocative 62 minutes sound and light show.
