Om Vilas, a Mansion built out of love and passion, now for the whole world to experience…

The story behind this Marble Mansion is one of desire and turbulence. The man who built this Palace had a dream to build a land of fortune for his wife to lure her into moving back from the U.S., to India temporarily. He felt that if he provided her with a sense of luxury, which she most certainly deserved, he could make her happy and convince her of this temporary move.

And so he hired a design team, customized the drawings himself, and appointed the best architect on the job. Dressing the entire place in marble from the most affluent mines in India, he started the constructing their dream palace. Little did he know that with his meticulous nature that warranted attention to every detail, the project would take almost 4 years to build! By the time the Mansion was complete, it was almost time for them to move back to the U.S.

Although the mansion’s purpose was not fully served, the beauty of this edifice was far too superior to waste. And so began the conversion process from a mansion, to a Marble Palace--- a heritage property for all to share. Elements immersed in rarity, none of which can ever be replicated….

A husband’s love for his wife transcends in every inch Om Vilas. And to think, the men in the Western World get away with bringing home flowers and chocolates as their expression of love for their wives!
